16+ Toyota Tacoma Intake Sound Clips - AFE Momentum GT Pro 5R [HQ]

Hey everyone. I stuck a lapel mic in the engine bay and recorded the AFE Momentum GT Pro 5R intake to see what it sounds like. I also got my Rode Stereo VideoMic Pro and stuck it inside the cabin. I hope this gives an idea of what it actually sounds like because the noise it makes is very aggressive. Especially after 4K the engine really wakes up.

I also have a new Injen intake with a scoop but it's definitely quieter. I plan to make a video of that and my new exhaust setup as well. Enjoy and let me know what you think!

 

Running the Injen Evolution intake with the front scoop and it sounds good, but doesn't sound that loud.

Any plans on putting through Dyno to see HP gains?

 

same setup I have, put it on right after I got the truck, love the sound.

How noticeable is it compared to stock? Most youtube vids I can't really tell.

 

Now do what bmw does and hook that sound into stereo system so it subtly plays the engine noise.

 

I was looking at the AFE and injen you just convinced me to go with the AFE!

 

Where's the best place you guys have found to purchase an AFE intake at?!

 

I'm now using the Injen system and it's definitely a lot more quiet.

My trd cai with HPS intake tube sounds better than that...from the video sounds like it’s bogging like the truck needs a push.

 

big fat goose egg. 0. nada. No tune = no gain.

 

I put it on the dyno, but not for a before/after comparison. I did a few pulls on the OV Tune + intake.

 

I know, older post, but which one did you like better? and why? Injen or AFE? I have Ovtune and I want one or the other.

 

You'll get better results with one of these.


Especially after 88 MPH.
