Do Tacomas have an emergency shut off switch on fuel pump? Fords do. It is behind the passenger side kick panel or use to be.

Looks like a pretty simple reset on the Tacoma.

Then the starter ain't the problem.

Might get a fuel pressure gauge and check fuel pressure.

If fuel pressure is good, check for spark.

Reasonable? 2005 Subaru Legacy GT engine harness is like $240. Bought one recently. Granted, fewer cylinders, but Subaru harness is frigging rats nest (anyone who worked on these knows that very well).... but $1600-2000 for an engine harness is motherfucking ripoff no matter how you look at it.

If it vibrates at 2100 rpm it could be the engine mounts?

Rodents chewed through my wiring harness and it needed to be replaced on my 2016 about three weeks back.
The wiring harness was about $1600 and took something like 25-30hrs to install.
I have full coverage on my truck so my comprehensive insurance covered it so i was only out $500 after my deductible.
My Insurance co had a underwriter who specializes in wiring issues on vehicles come out for the initial estimate, he said it would probably cost around $5g to fix... The shop came in slightly under at $4500.
Being that the truck is so new there are not a ton of wiring harnesses floating around in part shops at the moment.
The mechanic had to special order it. It took about two weeks to receive the part.

Got my truck back today and it feels good as new.
I wouldn't be surprised if rodents were the cause of your issues as well.

I didn't word that post well. You are right that it isn't reasonable. It is consistent with their other prices is what I meant.

Funny most on this site will claim they would trade their first born for a Hilux diesel yet in a place where a Hilux is available you were willing to buy a wrecked Tacoma because of more HP.
