17s. Good size for the size of your truck.

I've seen the exact same 17's that i really like on a 1st gen and on a 2nd gen. IMO they are definitely too big for a 1st gen. They are just out of proportion with the rest of the truck. Kind of like putting 20's on a civic. But on 2nd gens it looks fine. I'd still prefer 16's but 17's are still proportional and don't look so out of place like they do on 1st gens.

Bah. Someone voted in this two year old poll and bumped it back to the top.

THIS illustrates why when you create a poll for what you ought to do on your truck, it should have a short expiration date.

I vote 16 because it easier to find a better tire for 16 inch than 17inch rim.

If you off road you want 16" wheels & tires, they air down better and more sidewall to protect the wheels.
My next tires 265/75/16 Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10

Good to know, they get great reviews here.
My last post here was a while ago. Still wearing out the Dungflops on the road & will get the Dynapros to replace them when they wear out.
I've had 255/85/16 BFG KM2s on 1st Gen TRDs for over a year now for off roading.

17". Trends are moving to even bigger wheels on the newer 4wd's, so I think the 16s will look dated, even more so in a couple years. This coming from an old fart that can't get out of the chrome age :)
