    Hell...I'd go with 15's if it was possible.

    Do you plan to use the truck as a mall crawler or do you actually plan to wheel the truck?

    16's= offroading
    17's mall crawling

    As one of the first posters said, more tire and less rim is preferred when it comes to offroading.

    I think 17s have more tire options than any other side (off road tire wise)
    Plenty of people wheel with 17s, I think 20s are better suited for mall crawlers. I ran 16s and they got messed up, I've ran 20s, I didn't want to mess them up, running 17s no and I'm sure they will get messed up.

    I like 16s, prefer them actually. Just wish you could get some BFGs in a 16 that's between a 265 and 285 like in 17

    in general, what would be lighter. 17" rim/less tire or 16" rim/more tire?
    Keeping rim type and tire brand the same, only changing sizes

    ^^ The 17" combo would probably be lighter since tires increase in weight more by size, but not by much.

    16" with 33s is my favorite. 17" with 35s+. But 17s have more wheel options.

    Working on it.
    If your gonna upgrade your brakes get 17". I am running tundra calipers and now a 16" would not work. Which made me sad cause I really like the FJ trail team wheels in black.
