Hello! First timer here. I purchased my 2022 Limited Nightshade in October of 22. I’m looking to get new wheels and tires. I’d like to go with 17” wheels and 265/70 R17 tires.

I was told by a tire shop that I may not be able able to go from 18” wheels to 17” wheels because of the brakes. I then spoke with Extreme Terrain and he said it could be an issue.

I’ve seen other Limited trims with this set up. Just wondering if this is a possibility.

    Thanks everyone!

17" wheels are fine. The minimum wheel size for a 4Runner, which has larger front brakes than the Taco, is 17".

They will fit fine, all Tacoma's can fit/ inter change 16", 17" 18" wheels no difference between offroad that has 16's to the limited that has 18's. Sport runs 17's

17 will fit no problem. Most come with 16 but with the exception of some option package like Premium which come with the 17.

    Awesome! Thanks for the replies!

Fyi your stock wheels are +30 offset, same as sport 17's, offroad 16's are +25, and Pro's are +4 offset.

Does anyone have a picture of the 18" nightshade wheels with a beefier off road tire? I like the way these wheels look but am definitely going to change to a more rugged tire, probably one size up.
