Any 3gens out there rockin steelies?
I'm looking for a cheap, functional wheel to throw on my AT tires till I upgrade rims, tires, and lift down the road.
I hate the OEM wheels, looking for a negative offset so i don't need spacers and curious if any 3gens on 17"s?
    Pics?

You shouldn't have bought a Sport. They have the worst wheels.

maybe he already knew that he was replacing them? :notsure:

I've never let wheels stop me from making a purchase, if I don't like them, ill swap them out..

They are certainly better than the SR5 steelies or 16" upgrades.

    Better than OR IMO.
OEM wheels are ugly no matter what.
Not letting wheels dictate my purchase.

I didn't know Old Man Emu made wheels. I probably wouldn't like them, either

I like my or rims. Nice design with the brushed silver and charcoal. They are going to be my winter tires.
But all black rims look very similar from a distance as the colour hides details.

subjective but id argue the sport wheels look better than all other options. worst being the trd pro wheels. not the fj pro wheels everyone buys but the ones that come on the trd pro taco

Agreed, and if everyone including my grandma didn't have those PRO rims those would be my "cheap" choice..

I really like them ! They look as good as anything blacked out from 15 feet away . Use them for good winter skinny tires in Canada later on .

Ideally id like to find ones I could refurbish myself. Im not a big fan of black wheels, so id like to powder coat them a matte bronze or something. And ya, winter rims for when I upgrade my wheels and tires completely.

I am about to go with some 16 inch steel. I keep cracking my current wheels. I am going to stay 16 because 315 for a 35 is cheaper than a 285 (not sure why), and then when I air down I get even more sidewall. Not sure why people feel the need for a bigger rim

    Aesthetics, that's why.
I prefer a good balance of rubber and rim.
I have good TOYOs now so I need 17"

i prefer bigger than a 16 because i will mainly be on the street. 16's on pavement are like a bit too much rubber band effect for me, 17's are fine. for much more offroad i'd go for an OR setup.
