    Hi,

Picked up a set of 17 inch RAV 4 alloys for my 2wd, 4 cyl tacoma. My research here shows a 235 70 15 is the largest tire possible on a stock 15 inch rim for a truck like mine.
Am I safe in assuming that if I limit my choice of tires for the 17 inch rims to tires that are similar to the size of the maximum 15 inch size I should avoid clearance issues? I'm thinking something in the 235 60 17 size. The RAV 4 rims are +45 offset as compared to, I believe, + 40 on the stock 15's.
    Any info would be appreciated.
