17 inch TRD wheels Matte Black.

Got mine today, 1 arrived in the wrong color and 1 rim with scratches on the back part of the rim

 

Where did you order from? Not good.

 

The OP posted a link with the eBay seller and how to contact him, I bought them from that eBay seller. I gotta say good customer service and quick reply. He is replacing the matte black rim with the matte grey, already have a tracking number and a return label for the matte black rim. Only small issue is the scratches on the 1 rim, either way rims are a beaut!!! 100% authentic!

Was thinking about doing this exact thing. Why did you spring for 265/70 and not the the stock 265/65? Any rubbing with the slightly bigger tires?

 

265/65 looks really small with these wheels for some reason. Also the 4runner that comes with these wheels use 265/70

Its not even close to rubbing!

 

Even at full lock? I know people with this size with BFG KO2 some rub at lock and that is what I was worried about. Other then that how do you like the tires?

 

K02s even in same size is a bigger tire due to the tread. Again, not even close to rubbing at full lock. My caster is set at 2.7 on both wheels. Maybe if your caster is set closer to 0, you may have issues.

I like the tires, don't love them. They tend to follow the road imperfections, and I feel the sidewalls could be a tad stiffer. Other than that, they are quiet and smooth riding. I am probably a lot more particular than most when it comes to tires, so what may bother me, may not bother most folks.

Overall, it's a good setup. I like that the offset is wider than stock wheels, so they look a bit more aggressive and the handling is a little better duse to the wider track.

 

I have these and they fit fine.

 

What size at those? 65/17 or 70/17?

It's a slight rub, only when backing up at full lock. I can remove the mud flaps and fix the problem, but will lift instead.

 

Finally took the plunge and just submitted my Best Offer.
Fingers crossed. How long normally for him to accept?
I need to get em so I can get my KO2's before the sale ends...

 

He accepts the offer fairly quickly and ships them within a day. Just make sure you ask for the correct color as I got a matte black instead of matte grey. He went ahead and quickly sent the correct color, great customer service.

So here is what I learned today about this rim and $318 later.
1. Stock steel TPMS will NOT work, you must have a 20 degree's TPMS. You can order these much cheaper than going to any tire shop. If you have an aluminum rim then you have to find out what TPMS you have.
2. The stock lug nuts will work however the rim was designed to have mag lut nuts, so you may have the stock lug nuts just upgrade when you can.
3. Be ready to spend money!!! $700 for the rims, plus tires, installation for me was $318 out the door, with proper TPMS, balancing, and mounting, got "free" alignment.
