So I bought my 3rd Gen Quicksand DCSB TRDS 4x4 last Wednesday, December 14, and rolled over 1,000 miles today, December 21.

So far I love the truck, handles well takes turns decently, get fair mpg's, no complaints.

Given I'm coming from a TDi, so it is a bit off on the MPG of what I'm used to, oh well.

I will also say my "Total Tank Average" is pretty accurate, the thing said 19.1 or 19.2 when I filled up, I can't remember exact numbers. Anyways, my hand calculations came out to be 19.27.

I have not towed yet, but I did have about a 400lbs un-aerodynamic payload in the bed last night since my fridge went bad. So a trip to Lowe's it was, this is why I got the 19.27 mpg, before this my Tank Average was reading IIRC 23 MPG's.

So all in all i'm happy!

I may edit this later when I have more time for typing.

Oh, i've bragged more about this fridge than I did the new taco on social media.. I didn't really post anything about the new truck. The fridge however is a big purchase since I've only moved out for 4 months since graduating college.

SAVED HERE JUST FOR REFERENCE ON ADJUSTING HEIMS

I bought used, so they had been tampered with.

I know how to adjust them, just not what adjusting one side may do.

I'm not trying to get them perfect, just in a range that firestone can take care of the rest on the LCA's

Okay so If I loosen all pinch bolts and adjust the backside out what happens, if i pull it tighter what happens, if i do the same for the front I would assume the results are similar just opposite. I need to know what's changing when I do this positively or negatively with caster, camber, toe.
Those who know better please correct me if I’m wrong:
I would assume that when you legnthenbthe front heim or shorten the rear, you are putting negative caster into he alignment.
So shortening the front and lengthening the rear would put more positive caster into the alignment.

Adjusting uca heims might have some effect on camber, I’m not totally sure. Visualizing things in my head, if you are shortening the rear heim (increasing neg caster) that might also lower the camber number. By how much or if at all, I don’t know.
Toe in is set with the tie rods, as it’s the wheel angle realative to a wall perpendicular to the truck.

This is what my train of through was when setting my heims and a very rough alignment when I put on my LT kit.
I drove immediately to an alignment shop and had them do final adjustment.

No, it was weird this week, idk how I racked them up so fast.

On my TDi I was averaging 20k to 25k a year, but I was also a commuter student driving 110 miles round trip for college twice a week.

Oh and btw, I believe my MPG's would've been better my first tracked tank if I had not been on US HWY 82 coming from Tuscaloosa back toward the Prattville area, fridge in back blocking wind truck cruise set, and turning 3k rpm's regularly on the hills it goes through some fuel.

Sorry for the screen orientation. I'll have more later when I get the pics off my Bros phone.

I'm now sitting just under 1100 miles. I was super careful doing this. I've gotta hurry and get my tin top sammy built, I miss this stuff.

Most people put the Tacos in the Fridge. You put the fridge in the Taco. Nicely played.
