I held firm on not paying over MSRP and none of the above mentioned dealers would budge. Interesting note on my Mossy dealership visit, the manager came out and explained to me they are buying PRO's from across the country from other dealerships and paying more then MSRP for the vehicle. This is the reason for the mark-up. I am not calling him a liar but I don't believe him. He would not even entertain ordering me one at MSRP because it would take away from allocation. I felt like telling him I was born on night but it was not last night. I thanked him for his time and left the dealership.

I test drove a 2017 PRO manual transmission with 3k miles and they (Mossy) were asking 53k for that vehicle. I had left Carlsbad Toyota and while they did not have any PRO's in stock the salesman stated the PRO's had a harsh ride compared to the off-road Tacoma. I test drove a off-road Tacoma 4x4 while at the Carlsbad dealership earlier in the day before going to Mossy Toyota. My wife and I felt no difference in the ride quality on local roadways after driving the off-road and then the PRO.

Try Moss Bros in Moreno valley, Javier is my internet sales guy, they had a pretty ridiculous markup (6k) but went down from that and removed all the dealer added shit. Dealt strictly via email with him for a few days and only came there to finalize the deal and sign paperwork. Dm me in you want his email, it's with a shot

Wow....so I'm coming to the fast conclusion that CA dealers are crazy where their markups. I can't believe these markups are even legal...but coming from the hot-hatch market, Ive heard Ford did the same thing with the Focus RS and now Honda dealers are doing the same with the Type R.

With those kind of markups you could buy a Offroad premium, add your own lift, wheels, tires and paint it cement for a lot less.

That cement color looks badass though. Lol!
Not worth the price premium though. I will take a white or red TRD pro for a lot less.
I wanted blazing blue pearl when I bought my taco and the dealer would have had to do a trade with another dealership and only wanted to knock $750 off MSRP. No thanks! I negotiated a good deal on a MGM off road and love the color because I didn't overpay for it.

Well TBH, send the other colors; white and Barcelona red TRD Pro seem to be more of a harder find in socal vs the cement
