Curious what color your truck is, looks white in your pictures, but quicksand in your profile picture?

It definitely felt better after the 2nd balancing. The first they said was done dynamically
the 2nd time they used a static method.

Well, these are TRD PRO wheels*, so all of us without "Pro's" would be in the same boat. *I think they are from the 4Runner, so they aren't even originally Tacoma wheels.

Nobody is going to care, and if someone does, I suggest ignoring that person.

In my capacity as an Official Taco Enthusiast (tm) I herby authorize you to make the subject modification.

Just some 35% tint to match the rears and some 285/70/17 Falkens…
Had a white one. With an auto. Auto tranny had issues to say the least. I have a Quicksand model with a 6 speed manual now. Swapped wheels out and put them on my new one. Much happier now....

I have 2016 Tacoma TRD. I purchased the TRD 17' MATTE BLACK ALLOY WHEELS and the Bilstein 5100´s, but I don´t know what size of tires to go with. I know I want the KO2.

From what I read, I know I can put on the KO2 265/70 without any lifting.

Can I put on the KO2 275/70 with just the Bilstein 5100´s, or even without the Bilstein and no other modification?. What about ride comfort?. The 275/70´s are class load E. How will this compare from stock tires and shocks with and without the Bilstein´s?.

Last, what are the least modifications I would need to do to fit the KO2 285/70 (I already have the Bilstein 5100´s, but the less lifting / spacers / mods the better for me).

Please consider that everything I am doing is pretty much for looks and would like to affect ride comfort the least.

    Thanks,

I just ordered a manual, but I'm really torn between quicksand and white. Do you like the quicksand more?

For those that originally had stock 16's on how did this wheel / tire combo effect MPG?

I haven't had any noticeable differences in MPG. It probably went down but a negligible amount.

Mine went down quite a bit. I was getting 18 MPG a tank with a little HWY and mostly around down driving. I'm at 14.5 with this fill-up so far at 1/2 tank. No HWY mixed in yet. I'm 54 years old, so the lead foot days are behind me...well that changes when I'm in the Mustang! Anyways, maybe I need to play with my air pressure. I'm at 34 in the fronts and 32 in the rears. Or maybe I got a crappy tank of gas?

sure. place that just mounted them for me had mine at 50, I thought wtf were
they thinking........until I checked the sidewall and max psi is 50. 44-46 seems
like a sweet spot for ride quality for me.

46 on a max 50 tire? That is really up there. I bet if you chalk tested it youd see the tire wants mid 30s. Probably riding at max PSI on the freeway heated up.

They're on my SR5. Not concerned what anyone thinks about it. They look great.

The dealership just quoted me $72 to uninstall, mount the new tires on the pros, and install. I hope they're not lying to me. Discount Tire said $170 and they're just a few blocks away from each other so anyhow, hopefully tomorrow.

I thought WTF!?! you said $137 on the phone, notice I said I "thought" :D

Paid him the $88 bucks and was on my way!
