Ahh...I thought I read somewhere that 1st gen had 5 lug wheels. I never owned a Tacoma before I bought my 2015. I like that color on your 3rd gen. Makes it look more rugged.

Be careful with ebay. The may or may not be Toyota wheels. I have noticed that some are 8" wide when the TRD pro wheels are 7" wide. I bought mine at the local dealership because I want to keep a good relationship with them and I wanted to make sure that I got actual Toyota wheels. If you can't find them at your local dealership, there are online dealership stores. The best thing to do is to search for the part number.

    PTR20-35110-BK for the black wheels
    PTR20-35110-GR for the gray wheels

What is the part number for the Gray wheels? The online Toyota Dealer site says these are not compatible with my 2012 Off Road. This is the part number that they say doesn't fit ---PTR20-35110-GR

I just bought a set from the dealer for less than that. It was the last ones he had. He said that Toyota quit selling them, but may start back.

Alrighty, here's my updated basic b!|©π. Excuse the filth, I just got back from a 1k mile road trip last night.

I added window tint, 18% fronts, 5% rear and 70% on the windshield.

This morning I got my wheels and tires slapped on. 255/75/17 BFG KM Rubicon takeoffs wrapping around oem pro's. 17x7 +4. Stock Sr suspension. No rubbing anywhere.

I need to preface this by saying that I hate mud tires. I have put 300k miles on mud tires in my work trucks, not by choice.

That being said, they are great, especially when you can pick them up so cheap. I got the set of 5, they had 65 miles on them for 500 bucks. They balanced great, little noisy around town, but the noise is drowned out by the wind on the highway. They don't road walk, and don't hold pebbles like a/ts do.

I may have to sipe them before winter, as these have 0 factory siping.

So far so good, I think with some good siping/grooving they would be excellent.

Got a straight on shot of the tire poke? Went the same route on the tires, bought 5 Rubicon rims+tires for $850, figure sell the rims for $500. Anyway, mine are going on 17x8.5 rims with -6 offset. I'm a little worried they will be sticking out too much. Thanks for any input.

Here's a couple of photos... Keep in mind, my truck is an SR with no flares, so you will have a bit more coverage. Honestly, it should line up pretty close to the same as my truck.
