    I like my 17's, but for $25 who wouldn't.

Had 18s before and x2 on tire cost and choices, especially if you don't want/need E load. Have 16s now and are sufficient and cost effective but x2 on better selection of 17" tires and wheels.

    I second that.

The 18's and higher may look cool, but 16's will be a better buy. And actually ride a little better too.

I've tried them all; and big rims and "short rubber" to the road; are just more expensive.

here we go. Ford 9" rear after breaking 5 sets of gears in the stock yota 8.8, 5.13 gears with a detroit hard locker, 63" chevy leafs and custom hangers, sky's front spring hanger with sky's extream hysteer and PSC hydro assist ram and PSC pump. welded front spyders in the f-550 front dana 60 with warn hubs, pico brake lines and hoses, elecrtic fan, TRD supercharger with URD 2.1 Pully, URD Map-ECU2 and cage built by me. wide band a/f by inovations, lots and lots more...........
i heard something about 16's or 16.5's not haveing a bead lip on the inside rim... so they wernt good for offroading because the bead would come off if you aired down.... i run 17's at 5-10 PSI with no beadlocks and never had a bead pop.

this! right now i’m stock 16” off road wheels. here soon as soon as i get tires i will being up a size. when i lift i will go up to a 17. mostly because their are not a hole lot of 16” i like(at least ones i have found) thats for off roading

street trucks i like maybe like 18” or even 20” i mean they are staying on the street so what does it matter. i know their is a new member from my area that has 22”s and i think his tire and wheel combo looks good. he has a pre runner and won’t be taking off the road. i have seen his truck before going down the road and it looks better in person than in pic.

I've been trying to talk my buddy into lifting his first Gen a couple inches, super minor, he's on the fence and asked me for a reference pic to see how it would look. . .

I told him 5100s and an AAL would look like this!^ and sent him that pic :D

    What he said.

I'd never go with anything over a 17" and even then I think that's too big.

More tire for less money, better ride, more flex, looks better...what's not to like?

Plus I love the fact that my Konigs are colour matched to my truck from factory. HA!

16.5's have a 5* lip vs most other wheels that have a 15* lip, 16.5's also don't have the "safety" bead. The reason why is that the wheels in half sizes are intended for heavy loads. I run hummer beadlocks in 16.5 and they are tits. DSC07287_6625804dd6bf24fa588465062874d0c063779ecc.jpg

The wifey is running 20's on the disco truck with 35" trail grapplers and they are stiff as hell offroad, plus the tires are over $300 a piece...but she's happy and that's what counts.

Iv ran 20's, 18's and now 17's. Got rid of the 18's and went with 17's because of tire cost and availability of 17" tires(Cheaper/Plentiful). Avoided the 16's because of possible fitment issues
