17x8 Konig CounterSteer Type X

Know it's the wrong thread. But, are these all spoken for or did you order extra.
Don't remember seeing any discussion about it in the SixShooter Thread.
Though I'm not on site all the time.
Any pictures of them yet?

I would be interested in them too.. I emailed you about the 17" five stars but if these are availabe in machined i would rather have these...

 

Thanks guys. To answer your questions jointly:

-17x8" Konig Six Shooters in full machined face (polished face) with anthracite accents are expected to be in stock by the end of this month (July). We will have plenty of extras available, as I've only subtly announced the new finish, and we haven't pre-sold too many yet. I do not yet have photos available of the final wheels.

-17x8.5" FN Wheels Five Stars will be available on or about July 15 (approximately 2 weeks from today).

-17x8" Konig Countersteer Type X wheels cannot be manufactured in a machined / polished face version. I went over it with Konig's engineers, and due to the design of the lip it is not possible to properly machine the entire face. The closest option at this time is the anthracite light gunmetal color, or if we have enough demand we can order the wheels in a very shiny / reflective silver (hyper silver).

Hi Jack,

I understand your reservations about the accents, but I don't think you'll have reservations once you see the final product. Basically the wheels are painted anthracite light gunmetal (a very light gunmetal), the entire face of the wheel (face of the spokes, lips, etc.) is machined to give a brushed aluminum effect, and then the wheels are finished with a clear coat. The base color of anthracite light gunmetal just gives a clean background / a coating that is easy to clean for the inside of the wheel.

For all intents and purposes the wheels will look like brushed aluminum aluminum wheels, but we much prefer to have the wheels coated on the inside rather than just machine and clear a raw aluminum wheel. The final product looks much cleaner this way.

 

pardon my ignorance...but can i wrap a 285/17R17 on these?

 

I bought my Countersteer Type X in a 16" rim a few weeks ago. The offset, and other measurements are different between the 16" and 17". I wrapped them in 285/75/16 Nitto Terra Grapplers. First, the customer service was OUTSTANDING! Very easy to deal with, great communication, and an all around great guy. I love how these wheels look and could not be happier!

The older version of the Countersteer Type X is not compatible with the factory TRD cap. Only the version released this year (2014) is compatible. Originally the Countersteer Type X came out before that TRD cap existed, so we had nothing to use for dimensions / no way of knowing it would ever exist.
