Great info, I wouldn't have known this unless someone posted it or I find out myself. This is a concern to me as I don't want to have to replace wheel studs.

Replacing wheel studs is actually pretty easy, I used a ball joint press from Harbor freight for the fronts and just pulled the studs through using old lug nuts in the rear as there is no room for the ball joint press. A relatively easier solution is using studs from a Toyota Matrix, they dont require drilling a hole in the backing plate as they are shorter than the ARPs but longer than the factory ones. Took me about 3 hrs to do the job but the ARPs require more work.

Tirerack actually suggests a minimum of 6 turns on their website and I don't think they are in the business of giving bad advice so you might be fine depending on your usage.

Just received my bronze type x's. Talked with Dustin and hes super helpful on what rims for you to get. I had a set of the countersteer offroads on my old tacoma. FN Wheels is a great company to do business with, even threw in some gorilla lugs for free for me

Getting a set of these in 16x8 for my silver 2nd gen...What color do I go with?

The graphite and black seem my type...Couldn’t find any examples.

Why the spacer? I’m running 285/70R17’s with no spacer

I gotcha, was just curious if it was a fitment thing or not. As far as aesthetics go, I have a 2nd gen so it might not help as much. But, I’ve got bushwhacker fenders and mine sit almost perfectly flush (17x8 -10).

Best pic I’ve got that shows the “poke”

Glad to help, keep in mind the bushwhacker fenders stick out another inch so these would poke out of stock flares a good bit. Either way, you’ll love the rims!

can anyone show a straight down the side pic of 17x8(-10) offset with 285s? trying to get a clear idea of the poke.
