I'm getting new tires, 285/70/17s and the wheels I have now are 17x9, 4.53BS and -12 offset.

I'll be putting new UCAs and coils to achieve around 2.5" of lift. How bad am I going to rub with the wide of a wheel and -12 offset? I'm just trying to figure out if I will need to do a CMC or not. I'm thinking I will but..I have a friend who just put on the same size tires and we think the same wheel with no CMC.

Also, does anybody know what alignment specs I should be aiming for?

    I had a 3” lift when I first put on my 17x9 -38 wheels w/ 285/70’s & I rubbed.

Shoot for 0 toe, 0 camber 4-4.5 degrees of caster then check for rub. Then it will depend on how hard you wheel off road.

Thanks for that info! I'll see what they can do. I'll probably hold off on doing the CMC until I see if/how bad I rub. It's an extra $300 for him to do a CMC for me so I wanna hold off if I can!

They say an extra inch is always good.
