17x9 XD's, question on fitment

as much as i'd love to splurge on 18 inch wheels and new tires i dont have the cash for it, i'm thinkin about getting a set of 17x9 XD wheels and using my current AT tires (that are like brand new) they're 265/70/17's do you think they'll look alright with the wider wheels? all i ever see is people running 18's and up, i want black wheels and i dont wanna paint my factory ones

 

No specific examples to show you, but I have seen it on a few trucks, doesnt look bad at all

 

Ya I ran 265's on 17's a while back and it looks/fits fine.

 

It'll look a little stretched because the rim is gonna be as wide if not wider than the contact patch of the tire. It will work though and shouldn't look to bad.
