Any speed. The shifting into it has to be done below roughly 62 mph.

I'm addition, I'll say that I'd consider upgrading to better tires and/or adding some weight to the bed for traction before I'd consider running 4wd on rainy roads.

    No upper limit.
But if you’re asking, I feel like I need to say that if you need 4Hi due to weather conditions, you should stay at a speed that allows you to maintain control of the vehicle

I think the fastest I’ve driven in four-wheel-drive high range is 50 to 60 miles an hour.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Sensible driving on wet roads in 4WD gains you nothing over 2WD - maneuvering and stopping ability really isn't appreciably better in 4WD.

I do not recommend driving on pavement in 4wd wet or dry. You’ll understand why the first time you try to make a sharp turn.

If you feel the need to use 4 wheel drive on a wet paved road you are either going way too fast for conditions or your tires are worn out or otherwise unsuitable.

You can do it, on the fly in "any" inclement weather. You'll just burn a heck of a lot more fuel this way on the Highway.

Your owners manual is your friend.

maneuvering and stopping are actually worse in 4x4 due to drivetrain bind. abs and traction control system can no longer control each wheel individually as well as they could since front and rear are mechanically locked together. also naturally wants to understeer more.

    This and that
    Oooh
    Happy almost Friday.
In 4lo… how fast can you drive?
Or let’s say 2lo, if you’ve got that.

I’ve got going about 30, and the whine is pronounced.

but that’s the manual trans in the steep stuff

If you are driving in a relatively straight line with no hard turns, slight veers are OK, you can drive perfectly fine in 4wd on dry pavement. Been doing it for 20+ years with zero issues.

Accelerating, steering and braking. The three elements of car control.
Guess which two are the most important and also aren't improved by deploying 4WD?

If you cannot control your vehicle on a run-of-the-mill wet road. You're going too fast for conditions. End of story.

I do the same thing. I get a lot of wheel spin trying to get moving at stop lights. It isn't because of driving too fast. New tires as well. K02's were great on my old Explorer, not so much on my Tacoma.

You should probably drive to the conditions... but if you aren't, cruise control is pretty exciting on wet curvy roads.
