Thanks for clarifying, I’ll be keeping my fact HU to keep the NAV. I’m ok with 4 channel, just thought I’d ask about 5 cause why not power a sub too?

If I use a 4 channel with fact HU and amp, need a 2ohm aftermarket amp?

Found the PAC on Amazon for $249 vs $279 at Crutchfield for other cheap bastads like myself.

Great info guys! I am replacing my HU with a Kenwood and trying to figure out how to upgrade speakers around this damn JBL amp. I was hoping to just upgrade the speakers but Crutchfield is warning that JBL is 2 ohm and like 95% of their speakers are 4 ohm so that'll essentially halve the power output. I'm worried that it'll not be loud enough... :/

So, I'm doing some research on bypassing that amp. I know I can put in a new amp using my new HU pre-amp outputs and tap off the speaker wires, but I really don't want to give up my only free seat cubby to another amp. I wish there was just a replacement amp.
