Hi, I need advice. I have a 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport with 180,000+. My Radiator has a small leak. Since I have to pull the radiator and coolant, should I go ahead and do a water pump and thermostat at the same time? Is there any thing else I should do while its torn down? Any advice would be much appreciated. Toyota dealerships near me want $2200+ for what I have described what I want done.

Replacing the waterpump seems like a great idea at that mileage, especially if you drive lots of long distances and are far from home often

Also spark plugs, accessory belt, MAF clean, TB clean, engine air filter, cabin filter...
You can go as crazy as you want or need

Thank You. Yes Im usually 75 miles from home 5 days a week. This beast has not let me down once. Just looking to keep her running. Spark plugs were done at 125,000.

At 180k miles I wouldn’t even hesitate. Get as much done IMO.

Glad to hear your 2016 has been great. My 18 has also been rock solid as well, love it.

At 180K+ miles, might as well as long as you have everything apart. If the water pump went bad 5K after you did all that work, you'd be kicking yourself saying 'I KNEW I shoulda'....'
Don't know last time/ever you changed the serpentine belt, but look at that too.

Nice to hear of the reliable high mileage too.

Dare I ask what oil change interval you use without starting a :crapstorm:?
