181k Miles too High??

    After 100K miles failures greatly increase as compared to the first 100K. As should be expected. While it's a Toyota, it's not going to be immune to failures, especially with that many miles, so be realistic with your expectations. Front wheel bearings seem to have a ~100K mile lifespan in Tacomas. Also, IMO, Toyota is living on their past quality reputation with the 2nd gen Tacomas- mine as had a ton of problems for only 110K miles. Hopefully the third gen Tacomas will be better.

    Just an update - the original Tacoma with 181k miles ended up being sold and I happened to run across another at the perfect time- a 2012 DCSB TRD Offroad with 106k miles for $18.4 out the door! Proud to officially be part of the taco community.
