What offset are the wheels you're talking about? 265's are not recommended by most tire manufacturers on a 9" wheel. 285's are going to rub unless you trim and possibly do a cab mount chop. You may have no issues with 275 65 18's but it depends on the offset and back spacing. Without lifting you're really not going to have many options.

I have just started looking for wheels and tires and I am trying to figure out how big I can go on stock TRD Off Road suspension without rubbing. I know there was a stock 17 inch wheel available and I thought I could go plus one from stock. I am new to this and have no idea what I can and can't do.

On the stock sport wheels which are 17". You can go as large as a 265 70 17 without lifting. I'm lifted 2 1/2 inches up front so I have no issues. I have 275 65 18's on 9" wheels with a -12 offset that I will have to trim a little once I put them on.

gosh.. where do I start, 18x9’s on 275-65 ridge grapplers. Bilsteins, clazzio leather, audio consists of stereo integrity, fosgate power amps, sundown audio, hybrid audio. Plus more...
I had 285-60-18 on 18x9 and no rubbing. It was a + or - 12 and tire stood out about a 1/2" from fender with stock suspension.
