I have a 2001 trd dbl cab taco with no lift...stock suspension...I found a great deal on some 18x9 wheels and was wondering if they would fit? I'm not sure of the backspacing. What back spacing would be ideal? Also if these will fit, what size tires would you recommend? Thanks!

for a first gen you would want around 4.0 to 4.5" backspacing, and you can run 265/65/18's with no lift. Check the tire manufacturers site though because some brands of 265's aren't approve for use with 9" wide wheel.

5.5" is too much, they will sit in 1" closer to the uca than your stock wheels

Not to sound like Noob but what's a UCA?
Couldn't I just putt a spacer behind it to counter act this?

Uca is upper control arm. You could use a spacer but why not just buy the proper wheels to begin with?
