My wife and I have a cleaning business. I am trying to come up with ways to get our equipment off off the bed cause the shitty factory cover let's in water when it rains. Thinking of doing a wood frame on the floor. Has anyone done this or other ideas?

Thanks but not looking for a cap. I want to keep my tonneau cover. Just wandering if anyone has made a raised floor and what they used. I am think 1 bys or 2x4 with some plywood.

I have a bed mat. The floor has groves. Any leaks down the sidewalls (and they are not much) go under the mat in the groves. Nothing on the mat gets wet.

Begging the question, do you have a bed mat? You can make one from a horse stall mat if you wish for a fair price.

I made a platform out of plywood a d 2x4's for my snowmobile to be raided above the wheel wells. It's 48" wide so it wouldn't fit between the them. You could make something similar just not as tall. Personally, I'd try selling up whatever gaps there are and using a bed mat first. I have a Truxedo Lo-Pro roll up soft tonneau and get very little water in the bed.

I do have a mat with some carpet on it in the bed. Obviously it's not from the factory. I think the ridges on the bed rail caps is what let's the water in. I'm not sure if they make smooth ones or what's the best way to seal that part up.
