I recently purchased an '05 tacoma 4x4 2.7 5sp manual truck with only 85k miles. I really like the truck. I thought the dealership had put new wheels on the truck but I didn't look close enough. Truck has original steel wheels that are very rusted and only has plastic caps over the wheels. Anyway, there is a fellow TW member that lives very close to me. He just bought a 2019 trd sport and has already upgraded his wheels and tires. He is selling the wheels and tires from his new truck for a very reasonable price. Will they fit my '05? They are both 6 lug.

That’s a good question. I would think that the ‘19 wheels would fit. I know someone who put wheels from a ‘16 4-Runner on a ‘18 Taco.

Sport wheels will more than likely fit. It’s a 17” wheel tho so you’d need new tires

I would assume they would I have a set of 2016 TRD OR wheels on my truck (2011 2.7 4x4 5speed) I think the sport wheels are 17” rather than 16” but I could be wrong.

BUT your lugs for the steelies you have now will NOT work with the TRD rims just a heads up.

    Like, so many.
They should fit. But you will need new tires. Get some good ATs.

That’s a sweet deal what part of the country are you in?

EDIT: also these are the lugs you’ll need for the trd rims. Also If you have a steelie as a spare I keep a ziplock of the old lugs (6) in the glove box but not sure if that matters for the spare.
