This is a project that I started awhile ago and was put on the back burner.
Intended to be my carry pistol, I got as far as 80% fitting the Wilson Bulletproof beaver tail, and 10-8 trigger. Plans are for a clean and simple dehorn, replace all components with forged, Novak dovetails for a sight similar to the 10-8/Heinie/old Yost-Bonitz, Kart barrel, 25 lpi mainspring/front strap, and to remind me of home some smooth curly Koa wood grips.
Wanted to get the slide ball-cut, but I'm afraid it would be too close to the Springfield stamp and wouldn't flow well.
No magwell, or overly textured grips/ checkering. I constantly carried while working at a gun shop and prefer a simple, snag free, approach to a carry 1911. Gunner grips, and aggressive checkering IMO belong on duty pistols.

Don't have a photo handy of my Kimber TLE/RL ii but have recently been considering trading to a Sig 1911 scorpion. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I remember fitting my Milspec with the S&A btgs it took 3 hours and 4-5 different files. it came out sweet.

I have one but haven't shot it yet. it's a tightly finished gun.
