That's what I ordered. I contacted Kusiak. They believe it should fit find. Leather has to stretch anyway.

Two mildly customized Spartans. I'm a machinist and enjoyed these two projects. I bought my first 1911 in 2011; the 45acp. I undercut the triggergaurd, beveled the slide and blended/modified the magwell and had it hard chromed.

I bought the 9mm a few years later and did similar work but also ball cut the front of slide and flat topped it and had it melonited.

I've shot about 6800 rounds through the 45 and close to 4000 through to the 9mm.

I'm predominantly a Glock shooter and prefer them, but I have a strong appreciation for 1911/2011's due to trigger and aesthetics.

Unreal! That chrome .45 has got me drooling
And clean work! No visible blemishes or lines they both look fantastic!

With that said has anyone had any use or experience with Magnum Research 1911s?

Heard from a local FLL that they preferred it over other affordable and higher end 1911s.

Looking to make my first 1911 purchase and dont want to break the bank but would like a .45 that I can hold onto for years with no issues.

    Thank you.

I haven't seen a Magnum Research 1911 but they do seem to be pretty well regarded.

Just recently got this. Haven't even put any rounds through it yet.
It's the 4" barrel version, anyone have some insight for a good holster?

Morning all, looking for a little input on a 1911A1 spec gun. I've seen mixed reviews on the RIA versions, are there any other GI spec 1911's out there in a similar price range? It has to be WWII GI spec or very close, as it'll be used with an M1 in 2gun classic matches, so any upgrades are wasted money at best or illegal for competition at worst. The gun must be an "as-issued" configuration.

That's perfect. Do the Springfields tend to run well out of the box? How do they hold up to large round counts? I'd love to take it to more than just 2 gun matches as the combo of a couple WWII items is just a cool range trip.
