I have no intention of buying any off roster fire arm anytime soon. Unless someone has a Springfield range officer.

    I love the RO.
That is pretty much what I built with my RIA Tactical.
I don't like the full length guide rod, and I don't need or like the ambi safety.

I DO like the beavertail and extended trigger... and of course, A1 sights suck.

But as I said... Riflegear in Fountain Valley (2 buildings north of Fry's) is aware of the laws and is willing to do the single shot exemption if you really want one.

I have a friend who's always loved the Colt that I was told I payed too much for back when they were $773 new, was recently forced to settle for a Ruger since pistols have reached a rediculous price nowadays.

I had those (Pachmyr Presentations?) on my Commander for awhile. I decided I don't like my grips telling my fingers where to index. Went back to the original Colt grips, with skateboard tape on the frontstrap, and I was happy.
BTW- through 2 Springfields, one Colt, and several Kimbers, the only failure I've ever had was a broken firing pin on that poor old Commander.

A buddy of mine has this Kimber. Ever since I shot it for the first time, I fell in love with it. It will be my next gun. It is a Kimber Stainless Ultra Carry II.

Here's my milspec. I can put 6/7 rounds on a human sized target at 100 yards.
It's more accurate than I am. I bought it stock all stainless. Swapped out the trigger my self (nighthawk), got a checkered msh, kings gun work beaver tail(waiting on some fund to buy a jig and s&a btgs so I can fit one my self), cylinder and slide light sear spring, sharkskin grips, and a 1 piece tool less Flgr.
I would guesstimate trigger is around 3.5 lb(feels like my buddy's with a 3.5 lb trigger) clean break.

Need a hammer and a fitted bushing and I'm done.

I bought my Kimber Custom II for 7something brand new. Idk why Kimber isn't an option but it gets my vote anyways. I concealed carry it, it's a full size and there is little to no print even though I'm a small guy and wear fitted clothes.

Just cause Sigs motto is to hell and back reliability doesnt mean much. My SST 220 .45 had 2 failures in competition and it was embarrassing. Trigger reset spring broke in half and extractor was afu and needed replacement. However my SST in 9mm fired thousands of rounds without failure
