Impressed with your choice of color considering the condition the metal was in under all the filler. Looks pretty good so far!!

What are your plans for brakes with that “slight” horsepower upgrade? Going for a modern interior or original seating?

That's a polite way to put it.... let me translate, "who in their right mind choses to paint a beat up old farm truck in glossy black paint?"... Ask myself that question most days :smack:

Brakes are aftermarket disks on the front and stock Chevelle 9.5" rear drums. The front brakes amount to basically mid 70's camaro parts.

Interior is factory bench in a black original type material. Will be using the original cardboard headliner and the metal door cards. The dash is going to remain basically stock as well, outside of an old time tach that will be mounted on the drivers side

The truck is being built around a sort of late 50's to mid 60's hot rod vibe.

In that 60's type vein, I actually have a wieand tunnel ram ordered but it's on back order and won't ship till the end of the month.

Beautiful finish! Don’t even need to color sand or buff!
What are you using for paint? And what gun are you spraying it through?

So I had a smart ass response ready to go about a dollar store brush and a gallon of Home Depot exterior latex …then we lost power … karma

it’s Nason2k base and clear sprayed with an old sharpe platinum gun

took the afternoon off of work and got a fair bit done today.
Warning... it's going to be a bit of a photo bomb since I'm thinking the truck is turning out to be a pretty cool piece

Are the headers something like Jet Hot coated or painted with header paint?

    Really enjoying the pics!

So not much progress.... got the truck moved into the front garage, followed by some color sanding on the cab... then mounted the rad shell and trial fit the fenders. Looks like I might have a fitment issue with the headers..

You say "not much progress" -- at my usual speed you have done a decades work. Beautiful!

Minor update...more color sanding done on the cab and trial fit the headers with the fenders on. Going to have to slightly clearance the inner fender lip.

Got the other header on, moroso tranny dipstick installed, water pump pulley and mounted the headlight brackets/buckets. So the process continues...temporarily bolt stuff together and then blow it apart to make it fit

Got the new H4 headlights and the dash in... of course the new km/h glass for the instrument cluster cracked on me... sigh. back to the faded but original mph glass. Headlight rings are currently chrome and need to be redone, so contemplating painting the rings black.

Getting some minor things done on the truck, not a lot that show progress but it's getting there.

Wrapped the cab in some insulation and finally got my jewelry that I ordered 2 months ago from summit...eventually cancelled my order and grabbed the last one Jegs had.
