Nice ride OP, my closest was a 73 Nova. 350 4 barrel, red with a black vinyl top, it was sweet ass. Folks took it away from me when I lost my license in HS for too many tickets!

Some nice cars in this thread. I especially love the 66 Chevelle. It's near and dear to me, simply because I own its sister-car. I own a '66 Pontiac Beaumont 'Sport Deluxe' - which was basically a 'Heinz 57' in the GM world. Take a body and drivetrain of a Chevy Chevelle, mix in some Pontiac Tempest and GTO interior parts - add a unique front grille, and rear panel - and there you have a Beaumont (built in Canada of course).

Mine sits patiently under a tarp in my back driveway - waiting for me to have the time and money to finish it off. This is what it looked like a couple years ago when it used to hide in the garage. The last photo (the white one) is what mine will look like when finished - except mine will be blue.

Well, in '66 there was a bit more than 470,000 Chevelles built (including just under 24,000 Canadian built Chevelles). In 1966 there were only about 13,300 Beaumonts produced - in total. Of those, only around 3 to 5000 were 'Sport Deluxes' (equal to an Chevelle SS). So they're pretty rare. Many American's have never heard of a Beaumont.

I need to meet someone who will offer me a car for free. I'd love a project an saving a few grand by not buying the body/engine would be great!!

This thread is going to get me in trouble with my wife-I'll start talking about wanting a project car again....

my cousin and her husband just started having kids. at kid #3, her husband called me to come and get it. my wife balked. if he still has it in alittle bit, i will go and get it. most of it is in boxes.

it is not a real Z28. but i only want a clone. i would dump a modern motor in it, and use it as a daily driver.
