    Thanks my man!

@GPsevinSixx requested I post a "build thread" on the project so there it is.

Left out some details. Learned a lot as I went through the project that I can use on my next one. Open for any questions!

Really nice work, you obviously have either done this before or did a lot of research. All I had to do was look at your bunk boards and transom repair... 99% of people would have used pressure treated lumber but you didn't, which means you understand glavanic corrosion. Impressive work! I have a 95 Superfisherman DLX that is the best boat I've ever owned. Starcraft boats are awesome.

Thanks fellas. Yes I did research. My knee jerk reaction was to use pressure treated wood as you stated.

Man it was extremely satisfying. Couldn't have asked for a prettier day at the lake, either.

There's nothing like building your own stuff. But building (restoring) something that will get a lot of use is something that cant be described. One of the first things I made when I bought my home was an entertainment center. Pulled out all the tricks for that one. Welded the frame together and stained the wood and sprayed the finish with my HPLV gun in the garage. Sometimes people will sometimes ask where I bought it and I just give them a stupid grin as I say, "I made it." and take a slow sip of my coffee.

Great place for info but their forum software is painfully outdated!

    Now I gotta see this.

A lot of detail stuff I left out but I tried to get the key take-aways in there. I could have made this a 2 or 3 page thread just in capturing all of my lessons learned, steps taken, etc. but comparing it to the suspension lift (7 hour job) vs. maybe 80 to 100 hours spent over ~2 months on the boat. Fairly large scale of difference there.

I came here from a link in your signature. You did a great job. You have good taste in the boat color and I love the color of that GTO.

I'm not done going thru the whole thread, but the lug nuts are installed backwards! You will ruin the wheels running like this!
