If I could find some motor mounts and trans mount for this... it would make this swap hella quick and easy but all the swap kits I find are for a 1985+

Driveshaft is out. All the lines to the engine are disconnected. Ran out of cutting disc to chop exhaust and everything off so I couldn't pull motor today. Tomorrow I go pick up the 2j.

And got bored today so started messing around and found out that my old taco seats will fit in the truck :spy: I have to cut the brackets down some if I want to keep the bench but I will probably go racing seats at some point. I think.

And a friend donated a tip for the build so this will be proudly sticking out where the bumper is currently because the bumper will be cut off soon.

Fun awesome fact! The 2jz block has 2-3 options for motor mount locations. Because the 2j went in so many cars, they just put multiple options on the block which means making it fit should be fairly easy.

And the guy I got it from told me to get it all installed, driveshaft/rear end/wheels and tires on it, get the fuel system in it and then to take it to him. He said he will get it running on stock ECU so where I could tow the truck to the shop but drive it home.

Engine goals. This is just one of the builds from the shop that's helping me build my truck.

Spare block is in. The block has 2 holes in it so yes I rigged it up to get it in lol tomorrow I'll bolt the trans up to it and see what the mounting situation is gonna be for engine mounts. Looks like I'll have plenty of room
