I'm not doing the wiring thankfully. The guy who I got the engine from is gonna help with the wiring and get it running once I get the engine and everything in plus wheels and tires and all that. I run far away from wiring lol

    Sweet build
Just curious, did something happen to the supra you got the motor from? Seems strange to pull a motor from what looks like a perfectly good supra, or are they swapping something else into it?

The Supra it came from is going for a allout turbo streetcar build. So they're going true 2jzgte

So. Engine looks basically straight. I can tweak it a tad with the rear crossmember if needed but eyeballed and it all looks straight. But mounts are different. Like 1.5" different lol which is a lot. It's enough to make me think that the 2j block may not be even on both sides because the trans fits in the tunnel evenly and everything just looks right. If I moved it over to make the mounts even, the trans would look offset in the tunnel. So I'm gonna run with it. I may just tack the mounts together tomorrow and triple check the tail shaft tomorrow by looking from the axle.

Oh the joys of putting an engine in a frame and truck that wasn't designed for it lol

My 4 banger motor in my taco has longer driver side mounts and shorter passenger side. Different angle too. One side is 60 while the other is 30 degree.

    Weird how that works.

    Oh wellll.
Getting closer each day! An hour or two a day. I'd work on It a lot longer if I had a roof, lights, and welding machine lol. But doing what I can with the time and tools I have.

Getting the engine in is the biggest hold up. Once the engine and trans mount is made, I just have to run fuel lines to a fuel cell :burnrubber: and then it's time to drop in the real motor

I did. But my dads shop burned down and everything in it went with it. I'm just using the slab from the shop and whatever tools I buy along the way lol.

Even if I bought a welding machine , I'd have no where to plug it into right now. sooo making these mounts is gonna be difficult to say the least lol

I know the oven is a normal plug. And the washer. I'd have to check the dryer one tho

Got the mounts tacked together. They aren't really great looking but they'll definitely work.

I'll redo them once the shop gets put up and I get to use my real tools again. Plus it'll be easier to build new ones later on since I could pull one off at a time rather than having the engine sitting on jack stands and shit like it is right now.
