Hawaii Craigslist, (Big island) has a 1982 Toyota P/U manual, 86,000 + miles, no accidents, tube bumper rear. Listed for $24,500 and originally owner.
Looks clean , blue with Toyota stripes.
Just sharing if yours gets to 40 years old?
    Aloha

It's too early to be that high...

That tube bumper alone has got to be worth $15,000.

That is funny , tube bumper worth $15,000 . He is asking 3X the price he paid for. It is not fully stock for collectors?
But I thought I just share what someone is asking for a 1982 Toyota P/U.
    Aloha

I can see THE '85 used in Back to the Future going for that price, but damn.

Bet you his wife told him to get rid of it, and that's how he's going to tell her that no one wants it so he may as well keep it.

Toyota truck sellers in Hawaii has a captive audience. People there are absolutely obsessed with Toyota mintrucks for some reason, and some tech bro will probably pay close to what he's asking.

Which means everyone else will think they can ask that much too. Like the tech bros coming in the from Bay Area and buying up homes in the Sacramento area for obscene amounts.

I mean, it worked for me (sold my house last summer), but I'd hate to buy buying there now.

I had a 85 4x4, sold it for $500 about 10 years ago, transmission was shot and it was salvage title.
Honestly I can't imagine it being worth much more than this, dog slow, most uncomfortable vehicle I have ever driven in. I had one guy approach me once, said he had one but had to get rid of it because it was killing his back.
But they are tanks, a friend of mine had an 82 and he was in Baja and hit those crazy speed bumps they put on the highway at full speed. Hurt him a bit, hit his head on the roof but truck was fine. I remember he told me if you look at the area on the frame where the front bump stops would hit it was still painted thus bump stops never or rarely hit.
I assume market for this would be as a trail rig.
