For sure! The restore will be a slow process. I’ve been collecting parts for awhile. Once I get things organized I’ll post some picture of the truck and the parts I have.

Sorry I don’t get on here very often. So since getting the truck, I’ve been investigating the condition and how in-depth I’ll have to go to restore the beast. Major concerns would be, cab floor needs to be replaced ( no problem ) bed floor needs to be replaced ( ehh sure no problem. Need to re wire the entire truck as the current wiring is so shotty with exposed copper everywhere. Minor body panel rust with is very surprising. Frame and axles have zero rust ( wow ) axles need to be rebuild. Expected, serious oil leak from multiple places. Frame is slightly bent but not cracked. No biggie.
Lately I’ve converted from squat head lights to round, with s new grille, new tail lights coming in, new side marker lights. Deciding on what kind of front bumper I want. Also took the shitty OG tires off and bought some nice used 33” tires on 15” wheels. They will get me by till I get something nice. I put in a new radio bezel and cluster, trying to diagnose whether the speedo and rpm gauge isn’t working or if the problem is further down then that. Any way, here’s a picture! Enjoy!

Wicked Truck, keep posting updates! One thing I noticed is the gap between the bed and the cab, might want to look into if thats a frame issue, or if you just need to move the cab mount/bed mount

The frame is slightly bent, once I pull the bed off I’ll address that.

So, I was able to talk the owners down to $1,500.00 for the truck. It’s a on family truck, passed down through 3 generations. Shippings costs in total ended up being around $5,500.00 and tons of frustration but all worth it.

Haha yeah I’ve been offered 25k and some very tempting trades. I’m not interested in selling it tho. What’s BaT?

    Hey @Marco.0780,

What engine does your Hilux have? I was assuming it would be either a 1L or a 2L non-turbo, right? I don't think factory turbo diesels were around until 1985. If turbo you could have a 2L-T. This is a very cool rig!
