1985 toyota pickup factory turbo

    I know this is probably a little old for this forum but i got a 1985 toyota truck i gues a hilux that came with a factory turbo... Yes a factory turbo. I am in need of a new ecu. If any of you old school yota guys can help me out or point me in the rivht direction of where to find one that would be awesome

    i would look in wrecking yards if i were you but if it is truly a hilux that would be a part i would guess has to be ordered from overseas

    I had a 1987 factory turbo truck. They weren't called a hilux. Just a truck lol. Parts for them can be found on eBay. I wish I still had my lil truck. They can be quite expensive once the turbo goes and you have to get an engine rebuild.

    Hummm... maybe they were..... I don't recall mine having a badge saying Hilux on it though. Of course its been 15 years since I sold it :(

    Hehe just looked it up. Hilux name was dropped in north america and just called Toyota Pickup according to Wikipedia. Says people just kept calling them Hilux even though Toyota didn't. Mine was a rust brown color with manual locking hubs, 3 inch lift, 31 x 10.5s, camper top. Miss it a lot actually

    On a side note I've located 2 turbo trucks local to me. An 86 and a 87 :D. For 1000 obo for each... Must talk wife into letting me buy them lol
