1987 22RE circuit opening relay help

    Picked up this runner not running lol. It will crank but won’t start (not getting fuel), I’ve been doing some testing and the COR tested good and clicks when it has power when the key is in the on position, but as soon as we crank it, it looses power. Is this normal?

    I think your computer needs to see oil pressure building up before it will allow the engine to start .
    I have the factory service manual for your truck .

    Jump the Fp and B+ plugs in the diag connector. That will turn the fuel pump on anytime key is in ACC or On position. If you dont get fuel at that point, time to catch the pump wires in the cab loom and check for 12v.

    I did jump those and I get power to the cor relay with the key on, but the voltage drops when I crank the engine.

    Tomorrow if it’s not raining I will be checking at the pump.

    If you get power to the Fp when jumpered then the cor is fine.

    Put a block in the afm to hold the door all the way open and try to start it.

    Pull the return line and see if you get fuel.

    Disconnect the cold start plug.
