He looks like a former mobster that went into witness protection and became a tv product salesman, which actually turned out to be pretty bad idea.

I should pitch that idea to Netflix

I can't believe what all you Cali guys put up with to drive a vehicle. Here in Indiana, zero inspection laws. Even if you buy a car from another state, you only have to have a cop come by your house, run the VIN, and if not stolen he signs a form for you to take to the DMV.

If a cop sees a brake light out, he's gonna pull you over if he's not too busy. Even then, probably just a warning unless your a smarta$$. In the city, if your car is parked on the street and leaking substantial amounts of oil, you can get a ticket. But basically, we can drive whatever will start and move.

It's a double edge sword sort of thing. We have so many people condensed into certain parts of this state, that if we had no smog laws it would be impossible to live or breathe in those cities. If you look up photos of Los Angeles circa 1970s, the smog was so bad you couldn't see shit. And I don't mean figuratively. People make fun of how smoggy LA is now but it's nothing compared to back then. Or look at major cities in China and other places where they don't control emissions like we do. It's easy to judge these crazy laws from less populated areas where emissions laws aren't needed but here, they really are needed...unfortunately.

In the grand scheme of things that says more about over population than anything else, but it's easier to regulate smog than it is to regulate people breeding lol.

Yeah, I understand. BTW, have you ever read anything about London's air quality back when they burned coal to heat all their bldgs. It lasted even into the late 1900s. Makes LA's 70's look like a paradise.

    Check out the death toll.

Edit: BTW, London is a very cool city for being a tourist. Not sure if you've been, but if you get the chance, go for it. Lotta fun and very user friendly with the Tube (subway) and the double decker buses. Corny yes, but VERY easy to see many locations quickly. The routes overlap, somewhat like the Olympic rings. You can get off and on another and make your way anywhere very quickly.

I hadn't heard of that until I watched an episode of The Crown on Netflix earlier this year and it showed that. Crazy
