I need to remove the chrome trim around the windshield in order to check for water leaks and or rust. I kinda doubt rust, because the truck is immaculate inside, outside, and underneath and has been garaged it’s whole life. I suspect the windshield sealant may have developed a small leak, when it pours rain for several hours, a slight water leak occurs on the passenger side from the cab body and firewall seam and runs down behind the ecu into the floor. It is still very slight, but I want to eliminate it quickly before it gets worse. It could be the cowl area as well.

I have a plastic trim removal kit, but am unsure how to go about removing the chrome trim. Also, the chrome trim seems to be seated in a black rubber type gasket around the windshield. Any help or guidance here is appreciated.
