I can’t stop looking at this thing. The last pic has some pretty shitty looking rust. there are cobwebs all up next to the tires from the inside perspective. It got me thinking they said, battery, fuel pump, fuel tank, and pickup were replaced…. So the tires are 28 years old? Is that possible? Wouldn’t they be half filled with air for those 28 years and have a flat spot not to mention, completely dry rotted? My grammas car sat for about 5 years. When she passed and my grandpa finally sold it the tires were crumbs.

edit. Also for being an old Toyota, that’s not a “heritage” grill.

This truck is not a collectable and never will be. Not this truck. Some fool will end up spending $40k+on a generic Toyota pickup

If a new owner wants to drive it, they'll have to sink some more big $$$ into it. All the tires, seals, hoses, belts, battery, rubber, etc. are going to fail shortly. Not to mention the crystalized brake linings and clutch.

For me, not driving a car or truck is just about the cruelest thing you can do to it. I have several cars and try to make a point to drive all of them every couple of weeks at least. That said, as the owner of a relatively low-mileage '93 T100 (well, not as low-mileage as this one LOL!) Maybe this will help increase the value of my truck! Not that I have any plans to sell it.

I bet the barn had a damp floor or the floor was dirt. Someone dropped the ball on proper storage for sure. Crazy money for what it is but it seems folks ask crazy money for any vehicle these days.

I’d like to see what Carvana would offer for it!

Running the VIN through a checker shows its a 3.0 V6. Pic shows a stick.

    MSRP was around $14k

While its cool this truck still isn't worth more than 10k. Anyone who pays more than that is out of their mind. It definitely will need some TLC under the hood to make it reliable.

Pictures appear to be taken in a showroom. I wonder if it’s a Toyota dealer?

Honestly, if I was going to spend stupid money on a really clean older Toyota truck, this one makes more sense. Compare the underside fo this Cali truck to the one sitting in NH.

Why would the previous owner go through the trouble of getting the custom "1RARE93" license plates if they weren't going to keep and drive the thing. Maybe it has too many potential problems to keep it. The description says it runs as you would expect. What does that mean? I would expect anything that's sat for almost 30 years to run like crap regardless of how many miles. Mice and dry rot have to have destroyed most of the wiring and hoses. My boat sits for just a few months each winter and the mice destroy the thing.

My guess is the owner is fishing for a pigeon willing to pay the price, seeing what the cost is of these toyota trucks now.
