You’ll have to trim the bezel. But they will fit. I’m just going aftermarket and wiring in a merry harness. RCA connections do send the correct signal to the factory amps to keep Working

Sitting for the winter with my 01 and 98 taco.. cold start today. Incident with the tundra has put suspension parts on hold for the ol girl, but it has new headlight assemblies and I got oem strut housings to put the TRD coils on an Koni inserts in

    OME and worth every penny.
Another that I would have liked to see Toyo. have done. Would have been better recieved than the Supra. Nice job and that's a perfect one for a repaint and recolor.

Little update, money has not traded hands yet, but agreed on a deal for a $1800 1993 non turbo automatic. Has parts I want, will partially part out, but the shell seems solid enough to hang onto for a future build dedicated to the strip… couple really shitty photos to show it as of now
Key things I gain with this are a bumper, some interior bits and a/c lines. (Damn bumpers are impossible to find)

Do we need to stage an intervention? How many Toyota’s can one possibly own?!

But I do admire your dedication.

Hoarder collects recent affordable cars. Wait a couple of years until they're all off the road, then you've become a collector.
    Have to let them age.

Sub'd, thanks for linking me over here. I was looking for an MR2 project when I ran across the '77 Celica that is still sitting unfinished.

Yes, RA29. It even had the louvers on it. It's a cancerous specimen and is gonna need a lot of work on the body, but it's mechanically done (rebuilt long block, emissions removed, all suspension and brakes replaced). I enjoy the mechanical side of it, but I painted cars out of high school and am no longer a big fan of sanding. Haven't done a lot to it since I left Texas, but below is a photo of kind of where it sits now, although I put the fenders and hood back on. Someone sells redesigned hood hinges on eBay, those will go on once I get the front straightened a bit -- hood attaches at the front, and it was hit in the side of the front bumper at one point, so hood alignment is a bit off and stresses the hinges. This pic was stock with 20 feet of vacuum lines for emissions. It started up first try, but always ran rich. I put a Cannon intake and Weber on, got rid of all that crap.

    Nice lil project.

The rust repairs on these 2 mr2s will drive me nuts. But the prices are hard to say no too considering what mr2s are going for now

My first car was a beige '77 Celica GT liftback. "Is that a Mustang?" With louvers on the back.
Beige over tan. 5 speed. 1st gear was pretty useless, but she had no problem running along at 120 MPH.
Miss that car, but the cancer got it.

@TenBeers - your Celica have "ESP"?

LOL, yes, it does have ESP. Most of the interior is ripped out right now, but I do have that ESP console. It will be cool if I can get it working someday. Mine was originally the bright yellow, but it was painted brown and then blue/green. I'd like to go back to the yellow, and I cut in the engine bay with the original color, but my wife doesn't like it. Since this would never be a museum car, I figure I will just go with a simple white.

Absolutely agree! So far the only "major" rust I have found on mine is the rockers, crushed pinch welds from jacks (before me) and a little bubbling at the rear most section. I wish there was more availability for body parts like the rockers. MR2 Ben has them, but thats from the UK and shipping would be as much as the part most likely.

It's crazy to see what they are going for now. I don't know if it's just the natural price increases on iconic 90's imports or youtube/social media presence like boostedboiz? But even a mediocre shell is $3-$4k. 8-9 out of 10 condition NA SW20's are in the $10k range and similar condition Turbo models are $15k+, even more if they are 93-95. Almost better off importing one if you don't mind not being able test drive it. It's eveb harder to find a clean reasonably priced one outside of CA, TX and FL. I picked up my 91 NA 5spd with 132k for $9k. It was a 2 owner car with an immaculate interior, garage kept, 80yr old man as the previous owner and extremely well maintained! Body has had a respray from his wife bumping into the left front while pulling into the garage. Paint is mediocre and needs a good polish, but the plan is to eventually fix the rockers and repaint.

MR2 dyno day on Monday. Going on a Haltech to get things figured out, tables being transferred to the stock sienna ECU after. Fingers crossed for 310 wheel. E153 loves to sap power though. So we’ll see. Typical dyno for a e153 2gr car on this dyno is ~285. Meanwhile s54 cars are usually at 300hp
