I will have a license plate mounted reverse. I cannot justify the going rate of yellowed OEM originals. Plus I don’t want to bash my trunk wall in to make them fit.

I love these lights. Always have. It’ll look better when the whole car is painted and all the accenting trims painted.

This is a test shoot the body guy did. Probably won’t happen for a year or so. But this is the color plan [IMG]

    Yeah.
Love the green, we had a 4Runner in Imperial Jade Mica and it was always one of my favorite Tacoma colors as well. Your new lights will look good with that color, better than the originals. On the white, I still prefer the minimalism of the originals. But I don't have 2 MR2's. I don't even have one. Boo.

we got the philips 5x7 leds installed... need to fuck with the fog light wiring so it doesnt have those weird toyota ground switched quirks. but the highs and lows work. fantastic output for this car
no where near as bright as the Cibies with 100w bulbs are in the 95 taco though.[IMG]

Tore apart the old transmission today. KAAZ is leaving, oem viscous going in. Got a lot of the parts to start doing the swap on the black 93. Need to put a ~1500 dollar order into Rockauto. Shocks, mounts, links, rear hubs and bearings, alternator, a/c compressor, hoses, clutch, some other odds and ends.. then it’s installing the venza 2.7 and manual swapping the bitch at the same time (then wiring…)

disassembly of the transmission shows the LSD was too rough with this thing.. chipped the final drive gear bad on the edges. i have to look over the output shaft tomorrow. i have spare shafts and ring gears.. but i really hope the output shafts good. because taking apart that gear stack sucks

need to get an airbag still. but heres the mr2's new steering wheel...

my 1993, now has a 2023 wheel. and yes.. i will have working radio controls and cruise (but the illumination will sadly not.. not enough wires. but looking into sequoia clock spring integration..)[IMG]

and in other news the black 1993 mr2's new 2.7 is offically together as well.. 2.7l. balance shaft delete, and an intake cam from a 2.5 hybrid (more duration at the cost of a little bit of lift..) hoping to see 210-220 wheel from this engine.

Mr2 . I learned how to drive stick shift in a 88 mr2. Ever since than I fell in love with these little cars. Never owned one. Buddy of mine taught me in his.

    GR86

the newer Toyotas like the corolla and what not since 2020 use a new mounting pattern. The splines are much larger and use a bolt instead of a stud. The current gr86 and the 4runner are officially the only ones still using the old style setup

    Yeah.
Make sense since the GR86 is a Subaru and they haven't updated the 4Runner in, like, 4ever. As far as getting it all working, stealing from the funny pic thread.

GR wheel is wired up.. airbag should be here by end of day. hope to have the wheel on tonight fully and reset the airbag light to make sure thats all happy. once thats all good. friday my OBD mount should be in so i can work on running the OBD wires up to the cabin and the cruise control wire for the ECM. by end of the week i hope to have the cruise working and all that. New exhaust will be here monday, and probably next month i'll work on the new radio and get the radio controls all functioning.. been communicating with Idatalink and they seem skeptical of it working, but they're willing to help make it work so the kenwood unit i choose will display all the vehicle info i want and also allow the steering wheel integration

    Yeah.
That's cool that at the iDataLink folks are working with you. I recently replaced the head unit in my wife's '17 4Runner Limited with JBL. She wanted Android Auto and a bigger screen. I was impressed with the ease of installation and how things work, and it sounds great as well. She's had a slow leak on one tire, and it actually shows the pressure readings that are actually accurate rather than just a warning light. I'll still get the "my butt light is on again" from her, but pretty cool to actually get more features for relatively cheap.

[IMG]new exhaust is in. and i got it installed. X pipe is pretty well proven to add power over the y pipe. especially midrange. so this SHOULD with the intake (yet to be shown.. but i have it) get me to ~320 wheel with still having substantial midrange power. quieter too. and i have 2 cats now. much more liveable system (and a one off) also came with the catless single muffler setup for racing fun
