The t100 was supposed to be what the tundra is, but I still think of it just as an old toyota truck. I do like the single cab with the 8' box though :)

Another snow day :D thank God I'm a senior or I'd have to start making days up at the end of the year. I want to go out and do some stuff to the truck today but it's so darn cold, so I think I'll just stay on tacomaworld under my heated blanket and dream :pccoffee:

I'm just taking the general stuff for now....there are just so many choices.....make high school fun, just don't make it the most fun part of your life.

May will come faster than you'll realize, you'll be fine though. Everything is an adventure and to be learned from...even the bad parts...

Best of luck with your grades too. Don't let them slip like i did.

If it was sub 20 up here right now I'd be in a tshirt and shorts! Haha, weather.com says it feels like -17(f) out right now. And I like the utility of the 8' bed, but the shorter wheel base does wonders off road. I think you're truck is probably just as long as mine though, because you have the extended cab.

When I bought my truck my mom and I had looked at a few different trucks, a 1995 Tacoma with 146k, $4500 and lots of rust, a 1995 Tacoma with 196k, $3500 but in amazing shape, a 2000 Tacoma, with 150k(ish) but previous owner was a smoker and it was on a second engine with 80k, they wanted $5000, all extended cabs. So point is, I wasn't really looking into getting a single cab but now that I've had one I'd never go back :)

Oh, if you're wondering why we didn't go with a better truck, it's because when I saw this and knew I could get an amazing deal on it I decided it'd be a good first truck, so when another super good deal comes around for a better truck I'll be jumping on it :) In my area decent Taco's without tons of rust are next to impossible to find :(

Haha, I try to have fun but everyone around here just likes to party. I'm not into that stuff, I've seen to many people's lives get ruined because they couldn't leave the high-school party life behind. Some people can do it and drop it the day they leave, but I always feared I never would. Most of my friends feel the same way anyway :)

But yeah, I'm sick of all the HS bs. I'm ready to leave! And it's not now that my grades are slipping, it was before. I just had the "I don't care, I'm in high-school" attitude my freshman and sophomore year, and now I'm making up for it. I was down a half of a credit this year so to make up for it I'm in morning chorus, meaning I get to be at school everyday for 7am. Oh the joys :) haha

Everything up here is 4wd, we hardly see pre-runners (and the ones we do see are from out of state). But yeah, you seem like you got a gem of a truck! I tried to get my mom to give me her single cab 2005 2.7 4x4 5spd manual with only 35,000 miles, but she sold it to buy a Harley :( haha

I'm in the middle, I like both first and second gens equally. That truck was awesome, manual everything, 4wd, great gas mileage, and the short wheelbase was killer in the woods. My mom loves her 2012 Tacoma, but ehh. I like it but if I were to get a 2nd gen it would either be an all out double cab long box trd, or a simple reg cab. Who knows though

I came from driving a 2001 Honda Civic LX, I could drive all weekend with friends, put $5 in, and be right where I started. It was soooo good on gas. Then I got my truck and that pretty much went out the window :) Where I live though, you could say I live "in the sticks" haha. So I appreciate the 4x4 every day and it makes up for the horrible gas mileage :)

This is our old 2005 Tacoma reg cab 5spd 4x4 2.7, barely broke 35,000 miles when we sold it summer 2011. Sold it for $12,500 (guy got a steal)!

Also, this is the 100th post on this "build" thread! But more BS really :p

Thanks to everyone who said good things about my truck and helped me!

Here's to 100 more (hopefully!)

EDIT: Just kidding, I guess this is 101. Haha, oh well! I still appreciate everything Tacomaworld has done for/taught me!
