Try flashing for codes before and after it dies to see if you can communicate with it or just key cycle it after it dies and see if the check engine light illuminates during the bulb check. i'm curious if a capacitor or something in the ECM is overheating/ losing function when it warms up

Similar to what I have been battling with my 95.5 2.7 4wd
My issue is it is dumping too much fuel and not enough spark.
OBD was either faulting out or quick no code but none of the test completed signals on the scanner were showing. After sitting with no battery for a few weeks, and draining the computer, I decided one day to just put the battery back in and scan just to see if I could get any readings. Behold! P0115 popped and truck ran fine for a few days then went back to running bad; as in 5 mpg bad with no leaks.
I found this trend to be repeatable, then noticed that when I did get the code and looked at the freeze-frame data, coolant temp showed 400f but engine had never started.
Put in new CTS and problem returned. Found the connector had broken on the inside so replaced with new and not had a repeat yet ( still under 500 miles since then) but believe issue solved as have not been able to duplicate problem.
