I assume you will, but keep us posted. It’s a mod I’ll be doing way down the line.

I intend on doing gloss clear coat yes because I can be a bit OCD about keeping my wheels clean and I feel like a nice layer of clear would make getting brake dust off much easier. My real concern is wether or not the tire shop Is gonna hack up my finish when they install the tires...

plenty of sanding/smoothing, 3 coats of self etching primer, 4 coats of color, 3 coats of clear:

They aren’t perfect but I’m pretty happy with em. Close enough for Jazz I would say! Now I have to paint the recessed Toyota logos on the center caps black with a brush... that’ll be fun...

What silver did you use for the color coat on the wheels, @Joey_Bada_Bing?

Scored all this off of a part out for $40... the parts pile for the swap are adding up! Need a grill, hood and bumper parts still

isn’t there a cross support at the end of the frame or something on the 2001-2004 That may prevent a 1995-1997 bumper fitting? This really will be the last piece of the puzzle

I can go check tomorrow. But are you thinking of the frame horns on the 98-00?

Looks like you got a great score for the parts. If you want to go with H4s Hella makes a set. I like the adjusting screw mod on https://www.tacomaworld.com/members/ccrowe323.253126/ set up.
I didn’t take any photos when I did mine, but I cut the bejeezus out of the stock plastic headlight buckets and used an extra set of springs and some 1+” pieces of plumber’s tape to hook the springs to some metric bolts that fit into the original aiming adjustment screw nuts. 1 per spring, double the plumber’s tape. Seems to work ok.

Copy that thank you. Which H4 Hellas do you recommend? E code or the DOT ones?

the 2003 has a curved reinforcement bar that mounts to the end of the frame rails. I wonder if it protrudes out too far to fit the 95-97 bumper because to me it seems like that bumper is flatter in profile than the 03.

Pretty good, and you can always tweak your adjustments that way. The cutoff is more height oriented I think, not as much into oncoming traffic. Check out Daniel Stern’s site:
    https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...ighting.com/&usg=AOvVaw1XAUoXcIgQZCW73enR5QYK

You could try some superbright led floods- like the ones I put on my rig, or see if they offer a spot type,
they throw a good wide beam- of course, if you mount them lo enough that is. Solid copy on the critters, which are the main reason for armor, that and Braille driving.
We have moose and caribou up north and white tail galore over here in eastern Washington, more aimed lighting is key for certain

Thanks. Did you use a gloss finish clearcoat or a satin/semi-matte? As I look at the wheels on my Gen 1 and Gen 2 trucks (and my Lexus RX) I wouldn't judge the factory clearcoat to be a glossy finish. Can't quite be sure though.
