I have looked for a rebuilt wiper motor for my 1996 Tacoma for several years now. I hate buying used motors because they can be as tired or nearly as tired as my 300,000 mile motor. None were available from the mega-rebuilder company Cardone. Then it dawned on me to look for other model 1996 Toyota motors. Voila! The Cardone rebuilt 1996 Camry motor is nearly identical. I bought it from Parts Geek a few weeks ago. Five lug electrical plug, casing, mounting bolt pattern, are all identical. The only differences are the rebuilt motor comes with a short lever bolted on the threaded shaft which has to be taken off, and the rubber boot shield from the old motor has to be reused, which slides on the shaft. Other models of 1996 Toyotas may have the same "unobtainium" wiper motor as well. I may be ignorant and this is common knowledge to 1995-1997 Tacoma owners, but I thought I would pass this information along.

These are the motors for the wipers with intermittent, low and high. So the plug is five male connectors, two in the top row and three in the bottom row, with the top left connector blank.
