Since we're dumping info in the necro bump

OP's hubs appear to be off of a 95 and older IFS truck or 85 and older SFA truck. They all bolt up interchangeably but are internally different for each axle configuration.

The only interchangeable parts are the hub face/dial, studs, cone washers, etc.

I would like to say be careful with aftermarket hubs on the manual locking style. I ordered some for $50 each and installed. Something was off as over a 1 years time I noticed my CV boots ripped so I figured go ahead and replace. Come to find out that the tolerances weren't right and the hubs made the cv axles stick and keep them spinning as if the hubs were locked and both brass bushings pressed in the hubs were disintegrated. I went ahead and ordered brand new $200ea OEM hubs and no problem since.

yes, the aftermarket hubs (even the Warn ones) are inferior to the Aisin ones

New Warn Hubs over 20 year old Aisin at least in this part of the country.

Then most times when I get the 4x4 it has been neglected

Warn hubs do not use the cone washers like Aisin hubs do. As a result are prone to letting the hub walk and shearing the hub studs off under torque. It's been documented on Pirate.

I would have no issue using Warn hubs on another vehicle but the Toyota hubs are better in this application.

Simple matter to have a cutter made to cut for the cone washers to be used not a big deal .

If your into hard core off road .

I have done that on a few of the Mid eighties trucks and 4Runners

The hubs themselves. The cv axle should spin in there freely but for some reason they locked up in there forcing the CVs to spin when the hubs were unlocked and I had to hammer them out.

K i figured if they were locked in they would just spin the axles normally like on a ADD, thats strange it would cause ripped cv boots.

Fair point. Not sure what caused the split then but im kinda glad they did as it allowed me to find the bigger issue.

At about $100 ea for the Aisin hubs I don't see what the appeal is.

You can get used Aisin hubs but getting new is an issue.
3 years ago, Marlin acquired new OEM hubs from somewhere in Japan. Cost was $400.00 a pair.
I bought a pair for spares which are in use now. I sold the used units.
About a year ago, multiple units were located and sold through MC, and again, I bought a spare set at the same price.
Not sure where people are getting Aisin hubs at the price you mention. If you have a hook up, let us know.
