I am looking for a replacement distributor for my 96 Tacoma 2.4l. I looked it up and the prices range from $70 to $600. Can someone recommend a distributor. (The camshaft position sensor is built into the distributor)

Many members here will say OE no matter what. Depending on financial situation, I agree. However, I’m not IN that financial situation!

again, from my experiences here, for many parts dealing with fuel or ignition….AM part installed….then other issues/codes pop
Eventually determined to be the AM part

    that being said,
My second choice would be search for a used OE dizzy
    Car-part.com decent, nationwide

third would be an AM with lifetime warranty (like Autozone/oreillys)
This insures that if doesn’t work, you can just return it.

whatever you do, don’t by the eBay stuff
“If too good to be true, it usually is”
I have fallen into that trap, and wasted $$

on my 96 2.4l, one used dizzy came up FS on classifieds, and bought it
    (Thanks SpeedyTech)

Thank you very much. I’ll probably go with OE
