I remember someone posting about the 100 dollar denso rad being in the toyota box, they ended up returning it because it was damaged and buying a denso

    Updates.

    front suspension is on.

    new rear springs are here

Went to do the brakes and found the proportioning valve rusted and some surface rust I need to deal with under the tire carrier.

Oh well. Thought I got all the rust but there is always something else

Just my 2 cents on POR15, did my frame this spring and if I had to do it over I would use Eastwood internal frame coating.

I found POR 15 to be really hard to work with and some areas peeled even with all the prep I did. I found it stuck best of you rough it up with a dreamer or grinding wheel before the metal prep.

I also plan to go back to town on the grinder to get an even coating. My old fabricator had coated the frame before I got some of the superficial scale off and it still bugs me. He also used a rubberized coating on one portion that looks like trash

Nice. Here are a few of my frame job. Came out well for the most part, I think. Time will tell.

What’s your method for getting behind the reinforcement sections on the open portion of frame. I’m a little worried about it cracking like it did On the other side and considering grinding off the brace and welding on extra plate before re welding the bracket on or making a new one

I power washed it, and did my best to bust up the scale with bottle brushes and such through the openings. Then hit it with Eastwood internal frame coating on all the enclosed areas after I was finished with everything else.

Only then did I realize how awesome that stuff went on lol.

If you have the time and tools the best thing is to cut it open, clean it out, and weld in new braces or box the frame. Unfortunately not in the cards for me.

I boxed the passanger side but I my old fabricator told me I didn’t need to do driver side. I may disagree. He did double up the bottom of the c channel for what it’s worth
