Could be lower but that’s the lowest I’ve ever gotten her to idle and I’m happy to be below 1200

    probably original filter?
approx how many miles on it
and did you cut it open to inspect the filter element?

also, did you happen to break or twist the fuel line(s) getting that off?

178xxx definitely original. It was so soaked in gas I left it there to evaporate and it was gone by the Time i came back, no breakage, used flare wrenches and took my time.

    great question.

    a few answers

Car is originally from Arizona and the rot was hyper localized to the passenger side rear wheel and driver side floor.

2 car was likely garage kept but not well maintained beyond requirements.

    3
frame crack was bondod over instead of proper fix which probably increases the scope of the issue.

4 I grinded the hell out of it with a wire brush bit last week to get the surface scaling off. The frame over all is pretty clean compared to the other trucks I looked at, but 20 years of north East and neglect.

    you grinded the fuel shield?
i had mine sand blasted and powdercoated, but it has not seen its first winter yet with the new coating
the metal and/or factory coating used on that does not hold up well to winter roadspray and I had kept it somewhat hosed off regularly
definitely different material than the front plate i think

I started. Doing it in small sessions. Im currently not using a pneumatic grinder so my gridding sessions are limited by the weather and the life of my drill batteries. My 1974 argosy airstream is occupying my proper work space for the time being and I can’t get an extension out far enough from my house. Center city Philadelphia

Got the jump seats pretty fresh. Anyone got a suggestion for these deep discolored scratches in the plastics?

What always confused me about Toyota,

As a previous Vw head where all parts swap across all models pretty much every time, Tacomas don’t even swap with Tacomas of the same generation.

4runner seatbelts don’t even plug into Tacoma harnesses. They don’t even use the same size bolt to secure the harnesses!

Why do they waste so much money retooling these cars yearly for minor things making upgrading a PIA

Mothers back to black I use it on the fender flares and where my dog scratches interior plastic. Multiple sucessive applications seem to last much longer than just one application. Its not a permanent fix though.

Yea, I’m looking for total restoration. Anyone know the paint code? I might have to sand and paint

I ran into the same problem with my lower dash trim. Ordered the same part that you got and wouldn’t fit. If you find a source for that part let us know. PO cut mine up to mount a cb

Decided on Fox 2.0s (not factory) for the front but not sure of rears. I know there is a longer travel rear shock that is less slide hammer prone. I want a level 2” lift. What if any other adjustments do I need to make? Progressive rear. I’ve been looking at the medium duty OME pack. Advise requested. OE leaf springs are also shot so that’s a factor

V6 emblem didn’t match so it still says v8 :/. Eventually I want the 95-97 tailgate sr5 pinstripe but that’s when I get to body work and paint

I was looking at your photos thinking, "man that looks a lot like Philly." Then I saw the street signs and looked it up haha. I just moved from there, was living in the italian market.
